I first learned about the enneagram personality system in the early 1990s while working as an engineer in Houston. Sister Lois Dideon of the Houston Cenacle Retreat House was taught the enneagram by Father Ochs - one of Claudio Naranjo's early students. She shared her knowledge of the Enneagram in weekend retreats. I found that knowing the enneagram helped me to better understand friends and coworkers, and to recognized type tendencies in myself.
In 2011 I completed teacher certification training in The Narrative Enneagram program with core teachers Helen Palmer, David Daniels, Peter O'Hanrahan, Renee Rosario, and Terry Saracino. I taught enneagram workshops in Portland, OR and Vancouver, and in 2017 I retired from engineering and relocated to Sonoma, CA.
While in the Bay Area I was invited to participate in enneagram panels with several teachers including Helen Palmer, Peter O'Hanrahan, Bea Chestnut, and Barbara Whiteside.
In 2020 Portland Community College contacted me and asked if I would teach the enneagram online during the covid shutdown period and I began teaching there and for community programs in California and Oregon. I have moved back to Oregon and continue to offer enneagram classes.
